Anaram is an Afghan girl, the name means "Endless Light".
"Golden Hour" is the second part of the Anaram series. By now, the war story of Afghanistan is in the year 2015, Anaram is nine years old and the Bundeswehr is still deployed in this war-torn country. Closely alongside them operate U.S. forces. They support the medical emergency care of the troops with their helicopters when they need to be treated within the shortest time, the "Golden Hour", after being wounded in combat or during attacks.
In short stories, the author tells about the deployment in Afghanistan as well as those who have since returned home and must live with their wounds in body and soul. They also deal with the civilian population, who suffer from lack of medical care and precarious social conditions amidst the war events.
Humanly and touching, the author describes the suffering, courage, bravery, hope, and personal sacrifices made by all those involved and affected by the war; and the confidence that all this was not in vain.
